　　Rion was founded in 1944, with the aim of developing commercial products based on research carried out at the Kobayasi Institute of Physical Research. This public-service institute is dedicated to the study of physics and acoustics. Ever since its founding, Rion has upheld the belief that acoustics is a science of great importance to the well-being and welfare of society.
